What is Supportive Living at The Maples?
Our Supportive Living concept provides residents with a truly all-inclusive experience. Our helpful staff takes care of life’s daily chores – cooking meals, doing laundry, and housekeeping – in a friendly, safe, and secure environment. Enjoy any of our building amenities, and if you need a little extra support now and then we are always there to help.
Can I come and go as I please?
Our residents are free to come and go as they please, and they are encouraged to live a fully independent life. All residents are free to participate in our organized social events as they wish. The Maples is secured in the evening, but all residents are afforded convenient after-hours access.
Can my friends or family come and visit me? Join me for meals? Stay at The Maples?
We encourage it! At The Maples we do everything we can do to help bring families closer together. Whether it is booking the hobby kitchen for a family meal, making use of our private dining room, or even booking one of our guest suites for an overnight stay, we will do whatever we can to make your family feel welcome at The Maples.
What if I don’t like living at The Maples?
If you’d like to experience The Maples Supportive Living, our Trial Stay Program could be the perfect way to give it a try. With a month-to-month lease, you have the ultimate flexibility to make any living decision you want. If The Maples isn’t for you, or your personal situation changes at any time, we’ll help with your transition.
What happens if I need more support in the future? Can I bring a care provider into the building?
We understand that there may be times when our residents will need a little extra support. Our friendly staff know how to help. If your needs are beyond what we can provide, residents may bring in accredited care providers as necessary.
Are the suites furnished?
Typically, our suites are unfurnished, and we encourage our residents to bring in furniture and belongings that make them feel most at home. As part of our move-in process, our staff will hang pictures for our new residents at no additional charge. For an additional fee, we can accommodate residents who would prefer to rent a fully furnished suite.
Does my suite have individually controlled heat and air conditioning?
At The Maples, resident satisfaction is our top priority, and we’ve ensured that every suite provides individually-controlled heating and cooling. For residents who need a little extra heat on a cold winter’s day, or some refreshing coolness on a muggy summer night – it’s all included at The Maples.
Can I do my own laundry?
Absolutely. We include personal laundry service weekly for our residents at no charge, and we have also provided laundry rooms on each floor so that our residents are free to live as independently as they desire. No need to buy laundry detergent – it’s included at The Maples!
Is there storage available?
Each suite includes efficient, well-organized closet space. For those who have additional requirements, there are storage lockers available. For those with larger storage needs, we can arrange suitable off-site self-storage options in Antigonish.
Can I afford to live here?
All-inclusive living at The Maples is more affordable than you think! When you look at current living costs, and factor in the convenience factors – all-inclusive living at The Maples makes good sense.
